SV	Als deze nog sprak, zo kwam een ander, en zeide: De Chaldeen stelden drie hopen, en vielen op de kemelen aan, en namen ze, en sloegen de jongeren met de scherpte des zwaards; en ik ben maar alleen ontkomen, om het u aan te zeggen.
WLC	עֹ֣וד ׀ זֶ֣ה מְדַבֵּ֗ר וְזֶה֮ בָּ֣א וַיֹּאמַר֒ כַּשְׂדִּ֞ים שָׂ֣מוּ ׀ שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה רָאשִׁ֗ים וַֽיִּפְשְׁט֤וּ עַל־הַגְּמַלִּים֙ וַיִּקָּח֔וּם וְאֶת־הַנְּעָרִ֖ים הִכּ֣וּ לְפִי־חָ֑רֶב וָאִמָּ֨לְטָ֧ה רַק־אֲנִ֛י לְבַדִּ֖י לְהַגִּ֥יד לָֽךְ׃
Trans.	‘wōḏ zeh məḏabēr wəzeh bā’ wayyō’mar kaśədîm śāmû šəlōšâ rā’šîm wayyifəšəṭû ‘al-hagəmallîm wayyiqqāḥûm wə’eṯ-hannə‘ārîm hikû ləfî-ḥāreḇ wā’immāləṭâ raq-’ănî ləḇadî ləhagîḏ lāḵə:

AC	יז עוד זה מדבר וזה בא ויאמר כשדים שמו שלשה ראשים ויפשטו על הגמלים ויקחום ואת הנערים הכו לפי חרב ואמלטה רק אני לבדי להגיד לך
ASV	While he was yet speaking, there came also another, and said, The Chaldeans made three bands, and fell upon the camels, and have taken them away, yea, and slain the servants with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped alone to tell thee.
BE	And this one was still talking when another came, and said, The Chaldaeans made themselves into three bands, and came down on the camels and took them away, putting the young men to the sword, and I was the only one who got away safe to give you the news.
Darby	While he was yet speaking, there came another and said, The Chaldeans made three bands, and fell upon the camels and took them, and the servants have they smitten with the edge of the sword; and I only am escaped, alone, to tell thee.
ELB05	Dieser redete noch, da kam ein anderer und sprach: Die Chaldäer haben drei Haufen gebildet und sind über die Kamele hergefallen und haben sie weggenommen, und die Knechte haben sie mit der Schärfe des Schwertes erschlagen; und ich bin entronnen, nur ich allein, um es dir zu berichten.
LSG	Il parlait encore, lorsqu'un autre vint et dit: Des Chaldéens, formés en trois bandes, se sont jetés sur les chameaux, les ont enlevés, et ont passé les serviteurs au fil de l'épée. Et je me suis échappé moi seul, pour t'en apporter la nouvelle.
Sch	Der redete noch, als ein anderer kam und sagte: Die Chaldäer haben drei Haufen aufgestellt und sind über die Kamele hergefallen und haben sie weggenommen und haben die Knaben mit der Schärfe des Schwertes erschlagen; ich aber bin entronnen, nur ich allein, um es dir anzuzeigen.
